Three steps toward success
Sometimes, people or teams become stuck in an IDK situation. As in, I don’t know what to do next. I don’t know how we can move forward. I don’t know why we are not getting along or communicating effectively.
Everyone has experienced those IDK moments, personally and professionally. We have tried everything. Nothing is working. When we think about what to do next, we find ourselves right back at I don’t know.
I help people, teams, and organizations get out of IDK with a three-step process I call IDG: Insight, Development, and Growth.
We gain Insight with research-based tools and techniques. We identify the values, beliefs, strengths, resources, behaviors, and external forces surrounding your current situation. We learn what is getting your attention and what you may be overlooking. Insight is about understanding who we are and where we are, so we can figure out where we want to go.
Through the Development process, we create a vision that captures your ambitions and aspirations. We visualize in detail how you want the future to look. You discover what you want and what it will feel like to achieve it. As you plan for the long term, we also work to identify resources or behaviors that will be essential for success. The path forward begins to reveal itself, and we map it out together.
Finally, we embrace Growth as an essential and ongoing process for every person, team, or organization. We celebrate progress and learn from setbacks in equal measure, adjusting strategies and efforts as needed. We value what we see in the mirror – actually or metaphorically – even as we seek to improve.
